We’ve got our hands on every performance version of the Model S and Model X. From the P100D through to the Plaid, these are the six quickest Teslas money can buy. The question is, just how different is their performance? Let’s start with how they compare on paper. The Model S P100D rolls up with dual motors that combine to produce 671hp and 950Nm of torque. It tips the scales at around 2,100kg. As for the Model X P100D, its two motors combine for 534hp and 755Nm, and it’s a fair bit heavier than the Model S, weighing in at around 2,500kg. Then we have the Ravens. Both come with dual motors, and both the Model S & Model X produce 778hp and 1,140Nm. However, while the Model S weighs 2,255kg, the Model X comes in at 2,552kg. Then finally we have the Plaids. Both cars have ti-motors, and both produce 1,020hp and 1,420Nm. But just like the Raven, while the Model S weighs in at 2,190kg, the Model X is a whole lot heavier, coming in at 2,464kg. So it comes as no surprise as to who the favourite is, but just how different will the performance of these cars be? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE! The EV truck in this video is a 2023 model which is virtually identical to 2024 model, it is the lariat trim with the extended range battery. New BMW 5 Series v E-Class v A6: Which is best?

The question is if you want to get your hands on one, which should you choose? Well, Mat’s on hand to put all three cars through a series of rigorous tests to find out which one comes out on top! So let’s take a closer look at the three. First up we have the New BMW 5 Series. It’s unmistakably a BMW from the exterior, although we’re still not sure about the load of straight edges and creases across the front and rear. Thankfully it’s not followed the route of the 3 Series and added the huge kidney grille design! Step inside and the cabin is full of soft-touch materials along with a huge infotainment and digital dial screen. When it comes to performance, the car we have is the 520i. It comes with a 2-litre turbo petrol engine that sends power to the rear wheels only, and it puts down 208hp. It comes with a price tag of around £64,000. Then we have the E-Class. It’s probably the most stylish, luxurious-looking car from the outside. There are even some trim options available to make it look like the S-Class! The interior is also easily the most luxurious of the three cars. There are soft-touch materials everywhere, and even the opportunity to have three screens in the front! The seats are also super comfortable. The car we have here is the E300e, which comes with a 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, and it’s also a plug-in hybrid, so it comes with a small electric motor too. It can put down 313hp and this edition costs £77,000. Then we have the A6. It had a small facelift last year, but it’s still been around for absolutely ages! It still looks pretty smart on the outside, although we would rather choose one of the other two instead. The interior is nice, with soft-touch materials throughout, but it’s easily the most basic of the three cars here. Then again, given the age it’s also the cheapest, so it’s not too bad a deal. The car we have here also comes equipped with a 2-litre turbocharged engine along with an electric motor, so it can put down 299hp. It’s also the only car here that comes with all-wheel drive! The specific model we have is the 50 TSIe Quattro in S-line trim, and it costs around £66,000. So will the newer BMW come out on top? You’ll need to stick with Mat and see for yourself! The question is, which of these EV manufacturers makes the best electric saloon - Tesla with the Model 3, or BYD with the Seal? Well for starters, let’s check out the design. This may be the new Tesla Model 3, but it hasn’t changed a whole lot since the previous edition. There’s a new front & rear bumper, along with a few minor design tweaks, but otherwise, the car looks pretty similar at the front and the rear. Along the side, the car is pretty much identical, apart from a set of new alloy wheel designs! The BYD is also pretty tidy, although we are getting a few Tesla vibes from the design. Creases along the side help it stand out, and there are some pretty smart fins at the bottom of the rear doors. Otherwise, though, both cars are fairly similar when it comes to their look and design. Take a step inside, and you’ll find more of the same! Both cars come with a huge 15-inch screen stuck to the middle of the dash, and these are used to control pretty much all the features in either car! However, there are a few features that differentiate the BYD from the Tesla. Not only does it have a normal drive mode selector, but it also comes with traditional indicator stalks!
