FIRST DRIVE: Koenigsegg Jesko Attack Unleashed on TG Test Track!
It’s not often Top Gear’s Head of Car Testing has his head scrambled by a fast machine, but the Koenigsegg Jesko Attack is a very fast machine indeed. A 1578bhp twin-turbo 5.0-litre V8 is partly to blame, and with carbonfibre keeping the weight down, not much blunts the performance either. Then there’s the downforce, up to 1400kg of it, which means the Jesko Attack is not merely fast in a straight line. Clearly, we needed somewhere suitably proper to test such a car, and that place is our very own TG Test Track. This then, is the £2.8m Koenigsegg Jesko Attack, unleashed in the (sweaty) hands of Top Gear’s Ollie Marriage… Thank you to CARAGE who provided a Koenigsegg Jesko Attack and a Jesko Absolut for this video. FIRST LOOK: Lamborghini Temerario – 907bhp, Turbo V8 Hybrid, 10,000rpm!
The arrival of the new Temerario – a replacement for the Huracán – now means Lamborghini offers all its models with hybrid powertrains. Hmmm… But fret not, for this is Lambo’s take on hybridisation. So, while the Huracán's naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 has been swapped for a mere 4.0-litre V8, it has gained twin turbos and over 150bhp in the process. And, just for good measure, Lamborghini has allied it to not one, not two, but three electric motors, for a 907bhp total. That, and compared to the now-defunct V10, the forced-induction V8 revs higher. To the tune of 10,000rpm! Still want that six-cylinder McLaren Artura or Ferrari 296 GTB? There’s plenty more to uncover, too, so Top Gear Magazine’s Associate Editor, Tom Ford, is your guide to this new ‘baby’ Lambo… Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WATCH MORE TOP GEAR: First Looks: https://bit.ly/TGFirstLooks First Drives: https://bit.ly/TGFirstDrives American Tuned ft. Ferrari 458 Speciale v Audi RS7 Performance: DRAG RACE
Sell your car for free with Carwow: https://bit.ly/Sell-Your-Car-For-Free-1308 Can an Audi RS7 Performance take down a Ferrari 458 Speciale over the 1/4-mile? Well, it’s time to find out! Let’s see how the two compare. Starting with the Ferrari, it’s powered by a 4.5-litre naturally-aspirated V8 that can produce 605hp and 540Nm of torque. This power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and it weighs around 1,395kg. As new in 2015, this car would have set you back around £208,000. As for the RS7, it’s powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 that can produce 630hp and 850Nm. This power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox, and the car weighs in at 2,065kg. It’s a fair bit cheaper than the Ferrari, costing around £133,000. Think it may be an easy win for the RS7? Well, we’ve got another car lined up to go against the Ferrari if it can’t beat the RS7… An all-new Audi S3! This is powered by a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo that produces 333hp and 420Nm. This sends power to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and it tips the scales at 1,610kg. As new, this car only costs £48,000. So will the Ferrari take down the RS7? Or will it only find success against the S3? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE! Thanks to Andy for joining us for this race: https://www.instagram.com/thecarfilmingsafetyguy/

Dodge Viper v Mustang GT v Shelby Cobra: DRAG RACE
Change your car with Carwow: https://bit.ly/Change-Your-Car-16-11 It's time for an all-American SHOWDOWN! We've got our hands on a Dodge Viper GTS, a Shelby Cobra replica and a Ford Mustang, and they're about to go head-to-head over the quarter mile to see which comes out on top! But how do the three compare? Well starting with the Mustang, it's powered by a 5-litre V8 that can produce 460hp and 527Nm. This power is sent to the rear wheels only via a 6-speed manual gearbox, and it tips the scales at 1,808kg. When new in 2019, the Mustang would have cost around £55,000. Next up we have the Dodge Viper. It comes equipped with an 8-litre naturally-aspirated V10 that creates 456hp and 664Nm. As with the Mustang, the power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual, and it weighs in at just 1,595kg. As new, the Viper cost around £69,000. Then finally we come to the Cobra replica. It's powered by a 5-litre Ford Coyote V8 that can put down 460hp and 569Nm. As with the other cars, it's power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual, and it's also scarily light, tipping the scales at just 835kg! If you want to grab one of these, it'll cost you a cool £195,000! So will the lightweight power the Cobra to victory? There's only one way to find out... LET'S RACE! McMurtry Spéirling Pure: Full Top Gear Test Track Review!
Downforce increases with speed, doesn’t it? Well, yes, unless you have a ‘fan car’, which sucks itself to the ground too. To date, it’s mainly been cars coming from Gordon Murray that have had fans: first his Brabham BT46B Formula 1 car; then his seminal McLaren F1 (did you know it had twin fans?); and most recently the T.50. But now there’s a new car that uses fans to devastating effect: the McMurtry Spéirling. It weighs 1000kg, produces 1000 electric horsepower, and the fans can spin at up to 23,000rpm to generate 2000kg of downforce from 0mph. You may know it from its record-breaking run at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it smashed a McLaren Formula 1 car’s time that had stood since 1999. Now though, it’s been to the Top Gear Test Track, to be put through its paces by Top Gear’s Head of Car Testing Ollie Marriage… Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WATCH MORE TOP GEAR: First Looks: https://bit.ly/TGFirstLooks First Drives: https://bit.ly/TGFirstDrives American Tuned ft. Lamborghini LM002: The WORLD'S FIRST LUXURY SUV
Lamborghini LM002 is widely considered as the father of luxury SUVs. Turning heads in sophisticated city streets, the LM002 was equally at home in dirt, gravel and snow. The LM 002’s development started as a project to develop a high performance off-road vehicle for military use at the end of the 1970s, with the name of Cheetah. Lamborghini engineer Giulio Alfieri resurrected the project in 1981 with the LM 001: an innovative concept with a rear-mounted engine, followed by the LMA prototype with a front-mounted powertrain. The final production model of the LM002 was first presented at the Brussels Auto Show in 1986, consolidating the final design: the V12 engine from the Countach Quattrovalvole provided a 5,167 cc capacity and 450 hp at 6,800 rpm. In an aluminum and fiberglass body, with four-wheel drive transmission, transfer case and three self-locking differentials, the SUV could exceed gradients of 120%. Reaching speeds of more than 200 km/h, the LM002 was equipped with specially-developed Pirelli Scorpion tyres, allowing ‘floating’ capabilities across soft surfaces such as sand, and highly durable in hot conditions. The production of the bodies started in a company near Bilbao (Spain). Then the semi- assembled parts were shipped to Sant’Agata Bolognese for completion with the powertrain, mechanical parts, finishing, testing and delivery. A luxurious interior matching the individual needs of the customer completed the LM 002. The LM002 attracted significant attention when launched, as a vehicle unlike any other, with performance to match its super sports car stablemates as well as significant off-road capabilities and an imposing design and presence. A total of 300 were produced from 1986 to 1992. Like the LM002, the Urus will create a new Super SUV class of its own, with exceptional power and torque, distinctive design and a very significant presence. The Urus assures exceptional road-going dynamics, performance and luxury and like the LM002, has exceptional capabilities on off-road terrains, including sand. 🙏 If this video was useful to you, make a donation with the "Thanks" button or subscribe to support it: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCl5ijI4ZXN2ki7PeQajbFrA/join ⚡️ Discover ALL the new cars before anyone else! The NEW McLaren W1: A worthy successor to the F1 and P1? | Henry Catchpole - The Driver's Seat
The McLaren W1 is following in some pretty illustrious tyre tracks, because the McLaren F1 and the McLaren P1 are both icons of the supercar landscape. But when it was unveiled the W1 didn’t seem to create quite the buzz you might expect, given the company’s heritage. Henry Catchpole went the McLaren Technology Centre to talk to the people behind it and do some investigation. What he found was a car that has true Formula 1 expertise baked into it and should be pretty incredible to drive. With all 399 already accounted for at a cool £2million (before options) each, the W1 has arguably done all the impressing it needs already. But as a halo car, it should make those of us that can’t afford it dream about being able to afford it. We should long to just see one in the carbon and 3D printed titanium. One of the reasons that it hasn’t yet made people gasp is that a headline power output of 1257bhp isn’t really that extraordinary for a hypercar in 2024. Until, that is, you realise that all of it is going just to the rear wheels. That makes it much more interesting. Then there are the looks, because at first glance the W1 could be considered a replacement for the 750S rather than a wild Ultimate Series car. But there are reasons for the way it looks. The first is that its complex aerodynamics are based on the principles of ground effects, which means it rather hides its aero light under a bodywork bushel, so to speak. Then there is the fact that this is attempting to be a genuinely useable supercar on the road as well as a blindingly fast one around a track. That means seating two people properly. As such it has to look a little more conventional than something like an Aston Martin Valkyrie. But make no mistake, this car has a crazy amount of downforce. McLaren has genuinely put Formula 1 knowhow into it. For a start, Robin Algoo whose brainchild the aero concept is, worked as an aerodynamicist in the F1 team from 2010 to 2016. McLaren could have quoted a maximum downforce figure of 1298kg or 2862lb but as that’s only available for a fraction of a second under high speed braking, the decision was instead taken to quote the 1000kg that is available in a sustained way under high speed cornering. The engine is also completely new, the suspension has 3D printed titanium elements, there is a heave spring at the front and, just as importantly, hydraulic power assistance for the steering has been retained. The interior features a new material called InnoKnit (which conjures up images of F1 Mechanics getting the knitting needles out in the pits in their spare time) and even the instrument binnacle is aerodynamic. So, which would you have in your dream garage? McLaren W1, the Bugatti Tourbillon, the Ferrari F80 or something else? Let us know in the comments down below.
