Second-hand buyers, take note. Skoda's Citigo is the UK's most reliable car, according to new data.
It's followed by the Tesla Model 3, Lexus CT, Fiat 124, Suzuki Vitara, Volvo S90 and Ford's Ecosport and Edge, according to Warranty specialist MotorEasy's latest reliability index.
The most reliable manufacturer is Dacia (the budget arm of Renault Group), followed by Suzuki, Honda, Smart, Infiniti, Lexus, Fiat, Skoda, Renault and Toyota.
The findings are based on analysis of claims data from extended warranties on 300 models from 44 manufacturers since 2016, encompassing average annual claims and their cost.
The Citigo comes out on top because in absolute terms it is both the cheapest to repair and the most infrequent to fix.
It is 88 per cent cheaper than average, and 1,700 per cent lower than average in terms of the frequency of repairs.
The Lexus CT requires repairing just as infrequently, but costs over twice as much as the Citigo.
The average repair cost in the top 10 is 75 per cent lower than the average, Motoreasy said.2023-11-17T22:08:03Z dg43tfdfdgfd
