NISSAN UPGRADES ARIYA WITH FRESH DESIGN AND NEW TECHNOLOGY

Nissan has upgraded its electric Ariya with revised suspension and new technology features.

First revealed in 2021, the Ariya remains one of Nissan’s core electric models, sitting alongside the Leaf and Micra in the firm’s range of EVs.

For 2026, Nissan has revised the exterior look of the Ariya, introducing a new body-coloured front panel and a more distinguished black trim piece. Nissan has also introduced a new colour – ‘Plasma Green’ – which joins the existing range of montone and two-tone body colours.

Underneath, the Ariya gains a revised suspension setup which aims to boost stability while reducing vibrations and improving refinement in the process.

Inside, there’s a more practical air thanks to a redesigned centre console whcih brings up to 3.2 litres of storage space. A more powerful wireless phone charger is included as standard, too.

The Ariya’s infotainment system has been upgraded, too, with enhanced Google services now fitted as standard. Google Maps can now be activated and set via voice control, too, and will automatically plan the most efficient route to help boost the car’s range.

The Ariya benefits from Nissan’s ProPilot driving assistance system, too, which can control some driving functions and even operate the vehicle in stop-start traffic autonomously.

A new vehicle-to-load (V2L) system allows owners to use the car’s on-board battery energy to power external devices, too.

Priced from £37,000, the new Ariya will go on sale in June, ahead of first deliveries commencing in September.
