Lamborghini's new Twin-Turbo Ferrari Killer!
The Lamborghini Huracan is no more, and we’ve got our hands on exclusive footage of what we think the successor will look like! The carwow team of experts have spent hours looking over spy pictures of the upcoming replacement to the Huracan, and this is what they think it will look like! So what exactly has changed with this new car? Well starting at the front, it looks unlike any recent Lambo! It comes with super thin headlights, coupled with hexagonal daytime running lights that remind us of a classic rally car’s lights! Along the side the shape is pretty similar to the current Huracan, while at the back the car seriously reminds us of the all-new Revuelto! And we’ll be honest, we think it looks absolutely great! However, the design isn’t the only thing that’s going to change. We expect the glorious 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 to be replaced, and swapped with a 4-litre twin-turbo V8! Not only that, but it’ll also become a plug-in hybrid! That may be bad news for you purists, but hybrid technology has one big advantage - it’ll push the power output above 800hp!! This latest iteration in the storied E-Class lineage heralds a bold stride into the future, marrying a high-performance six-cylinder inline engine with a state-of-the-art electric motor. The E53 AMG is a testament to Mercedes-AMG's commitment to innovation, luxury, and environmental responsibility. The E53 AMG showcases an awe-inspiring system output of 430 kW (585 hp), which can surge to 450 kW (612 hp) in RACE START mode, complemented by a system torque of 750 Nm. This powerhouse configuration consists of a 330 kW internal combustion engine and a 120 kW electric motor, ensuring exhilarating performance figures. The saloon variant dashes from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds, or 3.8 seconds with the AMG DYNAMIC PLUS package. The estate variant is similarly impressive, achieving 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, or 3.9 seconds with the AMG DYNAMIC PLUS package. Moreover, the E53 AMG can cruise in all-electric mode up to 140 km/h, featuring a traction battery that enables an electric range of over 100 kilometers according to WLTP standards. Charging is convenient and efficient, with an 11 kW onboard charging device and an optional 60 kW DC fast charger that significantly reduces downtime. The E53 AMG's drive system is complemented by the sophisticated AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission and AMG Performance 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive, ensuring dynamic acceleration and optimum traction under all conditions. The vehicle's agility is further enhanced by a rigorously reinforced body-in-white and the AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension with adaptive damping, providing a seamless blend of high-performance handling and ride comfort.
